Can I get recommendations for MMOs?

Hey guys,
looking for a good MMO to play. I’m into a wide range of games – here are some I’ve played in the past or am playing now:
World of Warcraft for a year or so during The Burning Crusade. I can’t imagine what I was thinking, it doesn’t compare to some others I’ve played.
Star Wars Galaxies for five years, best game I ever played despite its faults, it was like a second life to me. Shut down in December 2011.
I tried Star Trek Online once, early after release before it went free-to-play. Wasn’t for me, but I loved the customization.
A few others that I either played a trial of or played on a private server and for the most part, didn’t like, but willing to try them again anyway.
APB Reloaded, nowhere near stable enough for me – if it’s still around in a year I’ll give it another go because the customization’s good and it has some nice, unique gameplay mechanics.
I currently have a subscription for Star Wars: The Old Republic, but I don’t play. I found it disappointing – no offence intended to those who enjoy it.
Finally, I’m currently subscribed to, and playing regularly, EVE Online. It has too much content to ever get bored of and for its age, it has a remarkably stable subscriber count.
I understand there are a lot of MMOs out there I haven’t even heard of and some I would probably love to play. I have yet to try Guild Wars. So basically, I’m looking for any and all MMOs and reasons why they’re such a good game, free-to-play or subscription. Game age doesn’t really matter, but it needs to have an active community, I can’t play it if it feels like a single-player RPG. I don’t mind grinding and farming, but I don’t like being forced into it either. I’m hoping my list will tell you guys what kind of gaming I’m into. Thanks in advance.

i really loved wow but the price each month…not so much. you can play free but you know the whole 20 lvl cap, no group unless invited, and all that was irritating.

runescape is typically second choice for people who cant pay wow…and it actually is pretty good i just hate that you have to click to move somewhere. i like using the arrows but in that game they only change the view :/

i was going to try perfectworld but didnt have enough space in my laptop (about 7-10 gb i think?) and its apparently supposed to be really good graphics and stuff so that may be worth a look

when i was low on cash i tried a few mmorpgs out there like Fiesta Online. It is ok but a little too easy. Characters look like anime…it was okay.

ive also tried Shadowtale I think was the name. Story was fine but it was 2D and I dont really enjoy that all too much.

I hear Diablo 3 is coming out and I want it because you only pay for the game once and its yours! Im gonna try a monk but cant reccomend it because i havent tried it.

I used to really love playing Fate. Its free you just have to download it but it may get a little boring and repetitive after a while.

One thing I found was a lot better was, instead of wasting that money every month, I bought an xbox and a 3ds off of craigslist (bargained and got it cheap!) and i just bought games for those! xbox has better graphics than obviously any game online so i play that but when im out of the house i obviously cant lug out the xbox and my tv everywhere i go and then i play my 3ds. if i feel like playing alone in the games i simply dont connect to internet. when i do, wifi on and im set to go (:

if you still rather stick to your online computer games, check out videos on youtube from mmohut they usually have good games in there “top ten free mmorpg games” like this

    this one is for mmorpg

or you could actually go to mmohut’s website. and click around their list based on what you like and narrow it down.
